Elena Moiseenko
An Operations Executive
Elena Moiseenko, a professional in Florida, loves dogs and has two golden retrievers. She had always purchased her dogs from a pet store, but after she learned about the treatment of dogs at puppy mills she chose to start rescuing pets. She recently rescued a golden retriever named Miller and will never return to a pet store again. Golden Retrievers are wonderful dogs for families.
Golden retrievers are medium sized dogs and are known for their long and thick golden coats. These dogs are hunters and have bodies that are strong as well as muscular. Their coats are water-repellant and are often made up of various shades of gold, white, and light blond. Some dogs may have unique markings such as white feet or whit patches on their chests and underbellies. Golden retrievers are friendly dogs, who rely on their packs. These dogs enjoy being in a group, whether that group is filled with people or other dogs. If you choose to adopt a golden retriever, you may need to be prepared to have your dog with your every day. These dogs are often gentle with small children as well. However, it may be important to remember that these dogs are large and energetic. They could accidently knock over a small child. Many people choose to add a golden retriever to their families because the dogs are intelligent, loyal, and gentle. Elena Moiseenko has had multiple golden retrievers and loves spending time with her dogs. She adopted one of her dogs and says “rescue dogs need us.” Sources: http://www.akc.org/dog-breeds/golden-retriever/ http://dogtime.com/dog-breeds/golden-retriever#/slide/1 Elena Moiseenko is a business development professional located in Florida. She recalls how finding a new dog led to an eye-opening experience.
“When I lost my older Deek to cancer, I was devastated,” she recalls. “My pet sitter asked if I was interested in a rescue dog - Miller from Georgia.” She used to get her dogs from pet stores, but the more she learned about them, and so-called “puppy mills,” the more horrified she was. Dogs at puppy mills are often housed in crowded and unsanitary conditions, with little to no veterinary care. Millions of dogs and other small animals wind up in animal shelters, but many end up being euthanized. By adopting Miller the rescue dog, she probably saved his life. “Miller came into our lives and brought my older dog Dino back from serious depression from losing his long lost brother.” She recalls. “Despite his age of eleven years old, Dino is quite young in spirit and has enjoyed his new adopted brother just as I have.” Most rescue dogs, she knows now, are given up by their owners for reasons having nothing to do with behavioral problems. But the reasons why they’re given up often remain a mystery. “I often wonder who would have left such a wonderful dog behind and what his life was like before he came to us,” Elena Moiseenko says of Miller. “I am just excited he is here and will never ever go back to a pet store for a new puppy. Rescue dogs need us.” Elena Moiseenko is a veteran executive who has spent many years in the health care industry and other fields. She has been a leading contributor to the overall success and profitability of major companies, and is a graduate of the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
“My roles in the past ranged from Senior Vice President of Customer Solutions and Vice President of Third Party Liability, Associate Manager to Manager of Conversion and Industrial Engineering,” she says. “Through detailed business modeling, planning, and policy/procedure development, I was successful in establishing and maintaining superior performance standards that took some of my past employers to world-class ranking in customer offerings.” She has an interest in process improvement, which involves identifying an organization’s business processes, and analyzing them to see how they can be optimized. It is an ongoing process, and when it’s done right the results can be seen and measured in improved product quality, customer satisfaction and loyalty, better productivity, and increased profits. There are typically four steps in process improvement. The first is to identify the need for change, which can be made by conducting a process audit. After identifying a process that needs improvement is analyzing the current process to see what about it isn’t working and how it can be fixed. The next step is to get an organization’s senior management to commit to supporting improvements. The final step is to develop and implement an improvement strategy. Elena Moiseenko is known for driving continuous improvements and change initiatives within the organizations she serves. In 2013, Elena Moiseenko moved to The Villages in Florida, the fastest-growing U.S. city, according to the US Census, for the second year in a row. The Villages is a CDD, a Community Development District which is very well-known and one of the fastest growing of retirement communities in Florida. A Declaration of Restrictions for each neighborhood in the District regulates facets such as landscaping, repair, maintenance, satellite dishes and like operational aspects of life in the neighborhood. Architectural Review Committees regulate the appearance and consistency of the exteriors of properties in The Villages, inspecting for changes to homes and properties landscaping.
As a semi-retirement community, 80% of residences in the Village must have someone 55 or older residing, while those under 19 may visit for no more than 30 days. During the 80’s the College of Science and Liberal Arts and the School of Industrial Management were added.
