Elena Moiseenko
An Operations Executive
The New Jersey Institute of Technology is a leader in the study of applied mathematics, materials science, biomedical engineering, signal processing, transportation planning and solar terrestrial physics. Founded in 1884, the original Newark Technical School was immediately in demand by New Jersey students, as it was at the time Elena Moiseenko enrolled for her Bachelor of Science Degree, and soon constructed a three story building later named Weston Hall to honor an early benefactor. With buildings and facilities added, the institution became the Newark College of Engineering in 1930. NJIT’s status as a true polytechnic university can be said to have evolved with the addition of the New Jersey School of Architecture in 1973. The name of the institution was again changed, and the New Jersey Institute of Technology was born in 1974. During the 80’s the College of Science and Liberal Arts and the School of Industrial Management were added. In the 90’s the Albert Dorman Honors College was founded, and in 2001 the College of Computing Sciences emerged.
While the upper education alma mater of Elena Moiseenko was dubbed the ugliest college campus in America in 2013 by Travel and Leisure, it is hard to argue with the 2,242 degrees New Jersey Institute of Science & Technology awarded in 2014 alone. NJIT enrollment is projected to top 14,000 students by 2020. The Master Plan of University administrators is busily purchasing and renovating properties like the old Central High School building, and demolishing others to add more green spaces to the campus. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Jersey_Institute_of_Technology Comments are closed.
